Welcome to My Eager Eats: The Introduction
Today is a special day, not only because its Halloween but its My Birthday! so its only right I properly introduce myself.

Hi, my name is Shay and talking about myself is not my favorite thing to do. This post was a hard one because I’ve never been great at pitching myself but here goes nothing.
First off, I am a self proclaimed foodie, born and raised on the Beautiful Island of Bermuda. Residing in London for almost 10 years, I fully enjoy the food culture here and all the variety it has to offer.
It should be noted, creating a food blog was an idea that had been brewing for years. Fact of the matter is I was scared, still am. Afraid no-one would read it, the content would be hard to keep up with or focus would get lost.
Fast-forward to January 2020 while at home with my 6 month old I made the choice to go for it. It wasn’t until March that everything happened all at once.
They say it comes in Three’s
That saying “it comes in three’s” is definitely one of those true island statements and it happened to me.
Not only did COVID hit creating the massive lock-down at the end of March but it was also when I was officially made redundant.
Now, stuck at home full-time with mini, no income, no plan for the future with outside feeling like a whole zombie apocalypse. Remember how pressed people were about toilet paper and flour?
Tools and Execution
Having more time means getting back into a creative space.
I started many projects but cooking is what I enjoy the most. So from end of February I started to document my meals. It wasn’t until May, remembering a whole camera was sitting in the cupboard not being utilized, was when the Photo styling and photography skills came into play.
Fun Fact: I have a whole degree in Photography which has never been used. Shame, but everything in its time and now is the time.
What is My Eager Eats

Learning From This Process
This whole process has been a lot of relearning things long forgotten and introducing business practices gained from my former employment and applying them to my own business ventures.
Last but least, My end goal is to be of service to my readers, find solutions to cooking problems and ultimately produce some amazing recipes that can easily be reproduced in any household.
I hope to be able to entertain and teach you something new in the process so stay tuned!
Drop a comment blow and let me know what you think. If you decide to make any of my recipes leave me a comment or tag me on Instagram @myeagereats or hashtag #myeatereats .
