Blackberry sage mint iced tea

The Best Blackberry, Sage and Mint Iced Tea

No matter the weather satisfy your thirst with this Sage & Mint infused Iced Tea with Blackberry Syrup!

Tea Time

If you read my post on Hosting an Afternoon Tea at home, you would have seen me talk about this beautiful tea on the menu. The subtle hint of sage and mint compliments the black tea so well, then the cherry on top, or shall we say Blackberry syrup! Sweet and rich, it adds an amazing fruity flavor kick.

Instead of traditional hot tea, switch it up with a flavored Iced tea with Blackberry Syrup.

I used good ole English Breakfast tea for the base. PG Tips is my Favorite brand however Yorkshire tea is another fan fave.

If your not an English breakfast fan try this with lemon and ginger or Earl Grey for a more spicy flavor.

Steeping and Brewing

How long to steep the tea bags depends on your desired flavor. For a lighter flavor use 2 tea bags instead of 3 and steep for 1 -2 minutes. The darker the tea the stronger it will be.

I personally like a stronger flavor as I find it pairs well with the rich blackberry syrup.

The Blackberry Syrup

Making this fruity syrup is so easy. Cook down the blackberries in sugar and water with a splash of lemon juice for 10 -12 minutes or until it reduces in size then let it cool.

You can also double up the recipe and save extra syrup to pour over pancakes, yogurt or your smoothie bowl.

The syrup will be slightly thick with sweet tasty blackberry bites. You can either leave the blackberries whole like I did or mash them prior to cooking them down for a smoother syrup.

Make it Boozy

Make this for your next party and even add a splash of spiced or white rum and ginger liquor for a spicy boozy kick. I know You and your guests will love it.
