Warm up to this Awesome Spicy Shrimp Pasta
Made with spicy marinated shrimp, chili puree and fat juicy rigatoni noodles, this spicy shrimp pasta will have you feeling warm inside.

When the temperatures start to drop, the pasta cravings definitely set in.
Pasta is deliciously filling and such a versatile food. Rigatoni is perfect pasta option because its deep pockets hold sauce so well creating a bust of flavor in every bite.
The Process of Making
The shrimps are marinated with seasonings, chili paste and olive oil then seared crisp before tossing into the pasta. It adds a nice contrast of textures.
Cherry tomatoes are seared and as they become super sweet and a lovely pop of freshness contrasting the warm spicy notes of the pasta.
The sauce uses a blend of spices, chili and tomato purees, onion, garlic, fresh parsley, thyme and homemade garlic oil.
It is then blended into a semi smooth sauce then combined with the pasta, shrimp and cherry tomatoes.
The dish was finished off with fresh parsley, grated Parmesan and a splash of homemade garlic oil.

Consider the Coin
All the ingredients are easy to find and very inexpensive which is a plus given the current economic climate.
If shrimps are a little steep for the budget, chicken or pork is a great alternative or opt for some veggies instead.
How to Make Spicy Shrimp Pasta
Spicy Shrimp Pasta is a quick and simple delicious dish using fresh herbs, chili paste, shrimp, cherry tomatoes and Rigatoni pasta.

First, wash and de-vein the shrimp. place in any bowl or sealed bag, add the seasonings and oil then let marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Next, heat a pan on high and sear the tomatoes in a little splash of olive oil and fresh thyme until you see a few grill marks. Remove from the pan and rest to the side.
To the same pan add the shrimps, browning them on each side before also resting them to the side.
Meanwhile, Put your pasta to boil.
Now, put the onions into the pan with 2 tsp of oil and saute them until tender then pour in the can of plum tomatoes followed by the seasonings, tomato and chili paste and water.
Allow to simmer for 7 - 10 minutes before placing in a blender and pulsing a few times to create a sauce.
Last, place the blended sauce back into the pan along with the cherry tomatoes, drained rigatoni and shrimps. Garnish with Parmesan and fresh parsley then serve.
