Seasoned Yellow Rice

The Most Amazing Seasoned Yellow Rice

Seasoned yellow rice has an amazing flavor of seasoned veggies with a hint of curry and turmeric for that yellow tint.

Simple as it may be, this dish can be eaten on its own or as a side and its always a quick go to when we want something a little more poetic than white rice.

Furthermore, Yellow rice pairs well with dishes like lamb which is what was served with my Brown Stew Lamb Chops in a previous post.

Also, Seasoned Yellow rice will also go great with sautéed greens or stuffed in bell peppers and topped with cheese.

Tips on Cooking Seasoned Yellow Rice

  • Season the water really well with good stock, which is key to really flavorful rice.
  • Taste and adjust to your liking. It’s fine if the broth is a tad bit salty because it will cook away.
  • Use Long or Short grain rice as it holds up better with longer cooking times.
  • Cook on medium low, turn off and allow the rice to steam once the rice has softened. This makes fluffy evenly cooked rice.
