Vegan Condensed Milk

Whether your Vegan, lactose intolerant, or just need to take a break from dairy consumption, this is a great substitute and can be used in tea, coffee, cooking & baking. Its so close to the real thing!

Vegan condensed milk

 

Yields1 Serving
 1 Can Coconut milk (400ml)
 1 cup Sugar (I used granulated)

Add coconut milk and sugar to a small pot and whisk to combine.

Place on medium heat and bring to a boil for 5 minutes checking and stirring until the coconut milk thickens. Cooking can take anywhere from 10 - 12 minutes.

This recipe yields 1/4 - 1/2 Cup of condensed milk.

Use this in Tea, coffee or for desserts and baked goods as a dairy substitute.
If you need a healthier version, switch out the white sugar for coconut or palm sugar (if accessible).
