Upside Down Apple French Toast Bake

Made from fresh apples and brioche bread, This Upside down Apple French toast bake makes an a great family breakfast or dessert.

 8 Brioche rolls cubed (or 1 brioche loaf)
 5 apples peeled & cubed
 1 cup Brown Sugar
 2 tsp Cinnamon
 1 tsp Mixed ground spice
 1 cup Granulated sugar
 2 ½ tbsp Melted butter
For the Wet mix
 4 Eggs
  cup Sour Cream
 ¾ cup Double Cream (heavy cream)
 1 tsp Mixed Essence (or vanilla essence)
 ½ tsp Nutmeg
 1 tbsp cinnamon
 1 tsp ground mixed spice
 Salt

Combine eggs cream sour cream, sugar and spices then put the bread into the liquid to soak.

Preheat the oven on 350°F/150°C.

Heat a small saucepan and add in the apples, cinnamon melted butter and spices. Cover with a lid and cook until apples are soft.

Once apples have cooked spoon the soaked bread on top and place into the oven baking for 15 to 20 min or until a knife or toothpick comes clean.
