Brown Butter Apple Galette
This Brown Butter Apple Galette is an easy dessert with fresh apples, cinnamon and flaky crust brushed with nutty delicious brown butter.

Combine all ingredients except water into a food processor and pulse until crumbles form then gradually add in the liquid until a ball forms.
Place onto a lightly floured surface and fold and roll into a ball. Cover with cling film and place in fridge to set for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile Peel and core apples then slice thin. In a bowl add the apples brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Preheat the oven on 350F/150C.
Next, roll the crust out onto a floured surface creating a somewhat circular shape. Make sure dough is at least 1/4 inch thick so it can absorb any liquid.
Brush the dough with the brown butter then layer on the apples. leave at least 1inch around the perimeter empty.
At this time, fold the dough into the middle creating a blanket around the apples. Here, drizzle some brown butter over the apples, brush the remaining brown butter onto the pastry and sprinkle with sugar.
Finally, bake for 25 minutes or until dough has turned golden brown and apples have softened.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
