How to Make Homemade Caribbean Green Seasoning
This super simple marinade combines well known Caribbean ingredients blended down into a versatile paste.

Green seasoning is well known in various parts of the Caribbean as a a fresh and vibrant marinade that is really easy to make. It creates a rich and bold flavor which pairs well with all meats and even vegetables.
Making Green Seasoning
To Note, there is no one way to make green seasoning. Different countries add their own take on it but the main ingredients are usually the same:
- Spring Onion
- Thyme
- Parsley
- Coriander
- Ginger Root
- Garlic Cloves
- Scotch Bonnet
- Lime or lemon
Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until combined. Many people like to add Celery, lemon or oil to the seasoning and again its totally a preference.

How to Store Green Seasoning
This marinade can be stored in a sealed container or jar for up to 3 weeks. Always check before use of course.
