How to Make Bermuda Tartar Sauce
Bermuda Tartar Sauce is the best version of tartar sauce you will every make. It is rich in flavor, creamy in texture with a great balance of sweetness and tartness.

To Note, making Tartar sauce is super easy and taste way better than the store bought versions. My Dad, who is a known Baileys Bay fisherman on the island, taught me this recipe.
Key Ingredients
The 5 Key ingredients to making the best Tartar sauce:
- Mayonnaise – Hellman’s has the best flavor, however any brand will work.
- Sweet Relish – American relish is sweeter but any sweet pickled relish adds sweetness and tartness to the sauce.
- Evaporated Milk – This is optional but add just a splash to give the sauce a silky texture with subtle flavor.
- Mustard – Classic yellow mustard gives a nice bite and sharpness along with the yellow color.
- Worcestershire Sauce – The special ingredient. Gives a slightly salt and vinegar flavor which combines well with the other ingredients.
Also to note: Make this Vegan by substituting the Mayo and Worcestershire sauce for dairy and meat free brands.

How to Store Tartar Sauce
Store in an airtight container or squeeze bottle with large hole for up to 2 or 3 weeks in the fridge.
On the other hand, for longer storage times omit the evaporated milk as the other ingredients are already prepped for long shelf life.
