Homemade Reese’s Peanut butter Popcorn

Kick that popcorn up another notch with this Reese’s Peanut butter popcorn. It’s super easy to make and only uses 4 ingredients!

Reese's peanut butter popcorn

Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks growing up. Most of us have grown up on Crunch and munch, movie popcorn and the ever popular Microwave popcorn. Its so versatile because of its mild flavor and taste good sweet or salty, or both!

This combination is perfect for movie night or when you have a small gathering (social distanced of course). These can also be made into popcorn balls and given as party treats.

Making Reese’s Peanut butter popcorn

This fun snack only involves a few ingredients:

  • Popcorn – I personally love fresh stove top popcorn, however store bought or microwave popcorn is equally as tasty and cuts down time.
  • Reese’s Peanut butter mini cups – The miniature cups are a great addition. I purchased the multi flavor pack with dark, milk and white chocolate peanut butter cups. The classics are always good if you can’t find the mini multi-pack.
  • White Chocolate – Any White cooking chocolate or chocolate bar will work here. I used Nestle’s Milkybar White Chocolate Buttons. They are really easy to melt and taste amazing.
  • Peanut butter – Whether smooth or crunchy, melted peanut butter pairs really well with the white chocolate and brings the flavors together well.

Put it All Together

It’s super easy to put these ingredients together:

  • Pop the popcorn and allow it to cool down completely.
  • Melt White chocolate in a small bowl in 30 second increments, stirring with a spoon between times until it has become smooth.
  • In a separate bowl microwave the peanut butter for 20 seconds or until melted and smooth.
  • Spread popcorn onto a lined baking tray and season with a little salt.
  • Chop the Peanut butter cups into desired sizes, then spread across the popcorn.
  • Drizzle White chocolate then melted peanut butter.
  • Allow the popcorn to set for at least 30 minutes for packaging or eat right away.
