Healthy Carrot and Raisin Oat Bars
These Carrot and Raisin Oat bars are great as a healthy snack or breakfast bar. They taste like carrot cake and are Gluten Free and easily made Vegan.

Truth be told I initially made this for my toddler because I am tired of paying £4 for a small box of organic bars (I still get them though). Also to note, apart from organic snacks she has only had homemade baby and toddler food.
There were a few experiments in the past that didn’t make the cut, however these Carrot and Raisin Oat bars have been an absolute hit!
Making the Oat Bars
This recipe is really easy to make and only calls for a few key ingredients:
- Wholegrain Scottish Porridge oats
- Banana
- Coconut Sugar
- Honey or Maple Syrup
- Cinnamon
- Salt
- Baking Soda
- Oat Flour (homemade)
- Carrot puree
- Ginger
- Raisins
- Dairy Free Butter
To Make: Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes.
GF and Vegan Friendly
Although I used Honey this can easily become vegan with the substitution of Maple or agave syrup. It is most definitely Gluten Free as it only calls for Oats and oat flour. The Oat flour was made by blending up the Scottish oats in the Nutribullet until flour forms.
