My name is Shay, a Bermudian born, UK living mum of a sunny side up toddler and a very passionate foodie. After years of procrastinating, Myeagereats.com was finally launched in January 2020. Little did we know that 2020 would be the year of the lockdown, which on a positive note propelled my recipe creating and content creating which lead to the creation of the blog.
Food has always been a passion of mine since I learned how to fry bacon at the age of 8 playing “restaurant” on the weekends. Fast forward to university, cooking for friends is where the understanding of fellowship through food began. When people can remember your food 15 years later, it does something to the soul.
My Eager Eats is a collection of dishes from my favourite cuisines with a blend of Caribbean influences. Also equally important is my commitment to reducing waste by reinventing ingredients and finding solutions to everyday cooking challenges.
Its been an amazing journey so far and I look forward to sharing more recipes, videos and stories with you!
